Meeting Kin

You’re warmly invited to spend an hour and a half meeting yourself, other human creatures, the more-than-human, and this Earth through ecological enquiry.

And, maybe find that your meetings become more visceral, full, and wondrous.

Sitting at the intersection of ecology, story, and embodied practise, ecological enquiry is one pathway into the relational nature of existence, knowledge, complexity, and the cosmologies and stories that we world through (and are being worlded by).

To practise ecological enquiry is to be in an ongoing discovery of the entanglement of self and material reality, the entanglement of self and mystery, the entanglement of self and the more-than-human, the entanglement of self and earth, and more; and, through the discovery, keep meeting kin.

It is also an embodied, depthful study of the relationship between living things and their environment, and how living things act within and co-create relationship.

Meeting Kin arises out of a thirty year personal enquiry practise, as well as a three year journey into learning how to best guide others into an ecological enquiry practise of their own.

Meeting Kin is offered under my participation and refunds policy.

MEETING KIN THROUGH ECOLOGICAL ENQUIRY.

SOME OF WHAT ECOLOGICAL ENQUIRY BRINGS ME

I find mystery and beauty in what seemed small, simple, and uninteresting, and am drawn to slowness and depth, paying more attention, soaking more in, and studying more.

The more I know how entangled my thinking, my stories, and my biology are with neighbourhood, place, ecosystems, social systems, the more-than-human, this Earth, ancestral lines, histories, and possible futures (and more), the more grounded and unfragmented I become in my individuation.

I more easily notice and investigate beliefs, hopes, and actions as they arise; and, through this noticing and investigation, many of them fall away and new ones arise.

I better relax into life as it unfolds, while experiencing a growing agency about what I can, and want to, be response-able to, as well as greater discernment about what I pay attention to and care for, and what isn't for me.

I can better be with the shades and seasons and shapes of life, being more able to be with grief, pain, disappointment, fantasy, hope, love, anger, loss, joy, mystery, awe, and seasons

Rituals and holiness arise naturally from within, while I also hold a deepening respect for lineage and the different routes into what’s held as holy, spiritually meaningful, and often beyond words.
